Andres Velilla - I Wanna Know EP Including 2 original tracks with remixes from Fuentes, Hisham Sabbah and Justin Marchacos
Andrés Velilla returns to his NoiseFloor Records imprint to release two melodic house tracks entitled ‘I Wanna Know’ including remixes from Justin Marchacos, Hisham Sabbah and Fuentes.
Born in Colombia, Andrés Velilla first discovered his passion for music whilst living in Miami during his teen years. Since moving to Montreal in the early 2000s, Andrés has built a very promising career in the DJ scene, playing at the well-known electronic music festivals Piknic Electronik and AIM Festival, in addition to world renowned venues such as (((Stereo))) and Circus After Hours to name a few. In 2018 Andrés established his record label NoiseFloor Records releasing music from artists such as Hisham Sabbah, souls, Anma & Joven and himself. ‘I Wanna Know’ sees Andrés invite New York’s Justin Marchacos following his release on Cocoon, Heifa’s Hisham Sabbah and Montreal’s Fuentes for remix duties.
‘I Wanna Know’ kicks off the EP with floaty leads, rolling, organic percussion and emphatic synths in the latter half before the ‘A Bit Xtra’ Edit adds an infectious vocal that floats gracefully above. Justin Marchacos delivers a euphoric remix fusing driving melodies, progressive synthesis and enrapturing atmospheres whilst Hisham Sabbah deploys warm frequencies, fluctuating tones and spirited pads within his remix.
‘Sanctity’ then progresses with delicate flow into a blissful rhythm peppered with fluid modulations and emotive chords providing an uplifting affair. Fuentes rounds off proceeding with an effervescent interpretation of ‘Sancity’ balancing meditative resonations, meandering notes and evolving oscillations throughout.
Andres Velilla ‘I Wanna Know’ drops on NoiseFloor Records on 20th September 2019.
